Create Email Collector

The DigitalStakeout Email Collector provides the ability for you to send or forward emails to Scout for collection and analysis. You can use this monitor to collect important emails from your organization. Customers also use this Monitor to consume alerts from other products to de-clutter their mail inbox from noise.

Navigate to the Setup page, click on the Data Aggregation tab, click "Add Monitor"."

When the "Create Scout Inbox (Email Monitor)" menu appears, adjust the fields as you wish. The Name field is mandatory, name the monitor as you wish.

Allowing who can email the inbox. You can Add a specific email address, a domain or enable the inbox to accept all emails.

To accept mail from a specific address, add:
johndoe@example.com

To accept mail from a specific domain, add:
@example.com

To accept mail from any source, add:
*.*

When you are finished, select "Save."

After saving you Email Monitor, you will receive an email with the Subject  "Your Scout Inbox is Ready". The email will provide you the virtual email address that was created for you.

If you need the virtual inbox address, Edit the Email Monitor you created. The email address will be found there.  

Notes About the Monitor:

Any email forwarded to this address will be processed the same way as content that you collect with other monitors. Each forwarded email will be stored as an event in Scout. If you delete an Email Monitor, all the records for Monitor will be immediately purged from our system.
