Understanding Console Filters vs Analytics Views

Understanding Console Filters vs Analytics Views

Understanding the Two Types of Saved Filters
There are currently two types of filters in DigitalStakeout products.

Console Filters

Very refined data searches occur in day to day search and analysis through raw data.  Console filters prevent the need manually re-create these search patterns. Console filters also support the creation of a search pattern into an an alert. If you save a Console Filter, it will only visible in the Console for use by you and your team.  Saved filters are visible in a drop down box called "load console filter" and can be edited by the creator or any super user.

Analytics Views

Analytics views are visualization specific filters that can be shared across DigitalStakeout analytic visualizations. Saved analytics views are visible in a drop down box called "load analytics view" and can be edited by the creator or any super user. Analytics views not only support data filters as the console filter, but will also support features that assist you and your team with customizing how charts and other visualizations are presented.

If you save an analytics view, it will only visible in visualization pages for use by you and your team.  Saved filters are visible in a drop down box called "load analytics view" and can be edited by the creator or any super user.
